Grill Guards
A grill guard, also known as a splash guard, is an invention which is used to help prevent the heated grease and fat from meat which is cooking on a barbecue from flying off and getting on your clothes or skin. Grill guards come standard with most kinds of high end grills, but with some of the less expensive and simpler grills that you can buy for having an outdoor summer barbecue, grill guards are not necessarily included. While a bbq cooking apron can to some extent take the place of a grill guard in these cases, you may not want to get your bbq cooking apron dirty either - the less time that you have to spend cleaning after a barbecue the better. With this in mind, you can get attachable splash guards or a custom splash guard that hooks onto the edge of your barbecue. A simple piece of metal that runs along the near edge of the barbecue surface can save you money over time as you don't have to spend your resources cleaning clothes after a bbq.
